Want a private voice lesson? Scroll down to learn more about my teaching philosophy, methods, and some different options on how to book a lesson in my studio. In addition to my private practice, I have served as an adjunct professor of voice at NYU Steinhardt for three academic semesters (2022-2024), and spent two years on faculty with the Nashville branch of Traveling Music Lessons as a private voice instructor (2021-2022).

My studio is a safe space for all ethnicities, gender identities and sexual orientations. If you’d like to get in touch, visit the ‘contact’ page in order to reach out via email. I would love to work with you!

Teaching Philosophy:

My teaching philosophy is centered around healthy and efficient singing that is sustainable and accessible through a multitude of genres. My practice uses exercises from established pedagogues in the classical and music theatre world (Halbert, Jones, Miller, Cuccaro) to facilitate a classical foundation in my student’s technique. I implement classical methods technically for all of my singers in order to develop healthy habits and consistent approaches that can be applied across all genres. This practice is not beneficial exclusively to the classical vocalist, but any singer that wants to care for and strengthen their instrument.

I have sung everything from opera to bluegrass, and have a deep appreciation for all genres of music—I find myself consistently learning new things about different genres from my students. In addition to being a young teacher, I have also been a student of voice since I was a middle schooler, so I know the shoes my students stand in all too well. It is my priority to create a welcoming, relaxed space for my students to explore finding their instruments. My voice studio is free of judgement, and encourages students to try things in a multitude of ways. No sound that is produced from our voice is going to be perfect, but I pride myself on pushing my students to try new things and learn from point A to point B.

My approach to helping students finding their voice is rooted in science informed pedagogy. My primary focuses lie in the student’s breath support, physical alignment and resonance strategy. I apply a great deal of kinesthetic techniques to encourage freedom of tension, utilize semi occluded vocal tract exercises to align the support system, and play a great deal with the student’s connection to their material artistically and dramatically.

The goal I have for everyone that comes into my studio is to help them find their voice—whatever that means to them. I do not claim to be all-knowing or all-informed on every aspect or genre of this broad art form. I will refer outwards if I feel unqualified to speak on certain topics or elements that a student inquires about or expresses. Singing is a lifelong journey that we hop on for, and I greatly value any individual that trusts me with their instrument, and with a piece of their journey.
